The Spring into Corrimal Family Festival is Corrimal’s longest running annual event and the largest one day free family festival within the Illawarra and Regional NSW, attracting crowds in excess of 60,000. The streets are closed to traffic and Corrimal turns into a centre of bustling fun! Presented by the Corrimal Chamber of Commerce and Corrimal RSL, Spring into Corrimal has always had a strong connection to the local area. The festival operates on a not-for-profit basis and is organised by a dedicated team of volunteers.
Spring into Corrimal is a huge community street family festival organised by Corrimal Chamber of Commerce and Bluejuice Events. This year’s date is Sunday 9th September. Spring into Corrimal brings the community together so people can come out onto the street to meet with family and friends for a day of fun, cultural diversity and free of charge entertainment.
Spring into Corrimal includes over 250 market stalls, entertainment, live music and a grand parade within the central hub of Corrimal and surrounding streets and parks. There is a designated area featuring storytelling and entertainment especially for small children and young people. There will be two stages featuring a variety of performances from local bands and community organisations.
There is plenty of fun with amusement rides, face painting, show bags and raffles. Visitors will be met by stilt walkers, characters and talented local buskers. Local restaurants and cafes will set up outside with a taste-tempting array of treats. Food stalls and vans also offer tastes from around the world in Memorial Park.
The Princes Highway and surrounding streets (Short St to Collins St) will be closed from 6AM – 6PM.
